The Charlie Shor Cincinnati State Disability Services Scholarship

All programs, FT or PT students, student can be new, 1st year or 2nd year. GPA must be 2.5 at application and 2.0 at renewal. FAFSA is encouraged but not rquired. Can be used for tuition, fees, books or transportation. The student must have documented seizure disorder; must be registered with the Office of Disability Services at Cincinnati State; must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours; US citizen or legal resident living in the United States. Meet with academic advisor minimum of two times per semester to discuss degree progress; meet with Office of Disabilities a minimum of once per semester; attend tutoring sessions two times per week scheduled through Disability Services. NOTE: Applicants who have not yet graduated from high school including HS students entering college in the fall are NOT eligible to apply. The Charlie Shor Disability Services Scholarship Committee will evaluate each of the applicants and make a decision by the 2nd week in May of each calendar year. The award will be disbursed at that time. It is the discretion of the Scholarship Committee to determine how many scholarships will be awarded each year and the amount of each scholarship.
